As we read on the website of the Stowarzyszenia Ziemia Bolesławiecka:

In connection with the information posted on the IPN website concerning the security services, as well as press publications on the internet [...] I am addressing a few words to my Friends and Acquaintances in order to clarify the matter.

In 1988, I was summoned to an MO police station. During a meeting with an SB officer, I was forced to sign a declaration of cooperation with the military security services. I was ordered to gather information about fuel installations during my trips abroad, because I worked in a profession related to this and had the appropriate qualifications. I was ordered to use my knowledge.

I was blackmailed and threatened. I signed the declaration, assuming from the outset that I would not undertake any cooperation, not even to the slightest degree. I did so out of fear for my family and friends.

Despite repeated subsequent attempts by the SB officer, who wanted to arrange meetings with me, I firmly refused. After his last phone call, there was a heated, uncensored exchange of words and threats from the officer. I also refused in uncensored terms. The SB's attempts to establish contact ceased.

I categorically declare that this was the last attempt by the SB to contact me. Everything suggested by local journalists is lies and insinuations. And I am surprised that, despite journalists' right to access IPN files, none of them did so and instead published unverified information defaming me.

I applied to the IPN for access to the files. When I receive them, I will disclose the documents to confirm my previous statements and prove that I never cooperated with the SB or military intelligence.

For publishing false information that harms my good name and that of my family, and damages my interests, I will take legal action and demand an official apology and appropriate compensation.

Respectfully,

Jan Cołokidzi
