A fire in the tenement house at 18 Warszawska Street was noticed at around 7:00 p.m. Flames and smoke were coming from the windows on the first floor. The fire spread so quickly that two more residential units caught fire. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured. One person was taken to hospital for observation. Several families lost their homes. The building is administratively managed by the Miejski Zakład Gospodarki Mieszkaniowej.
Residents complained about the Fire Brigade's delayed arrival. As we learned, the firefighters on duty were dealing with an accident at the time. They had to return to Bolesławiec and take the appropriate vehicle to Warszawska Street.
