Polls do not lie. Despite the opinions appearing about so-called anti-Valentine’s Day celebrations or that this lovers’ holiday should not be celebrated in Poland because we have our own Slavic equivalent (Midsummer Night – June 23), as many as 74% of people say they like Valentine’s Day, of whom as many as 59% declare that they intend to celebrate the day and give someone a Valentine’s card or buy another gift. Conversely, as many as 44% expect a Valentine’s Day gift. What is more, for people who have arranged a Valentine’s Day date, the meeting is their first date with that person (78% of respondents). So one may say that Valentine’s Day is a commercial holiday and that feelings should be shown throughout the year, not just on one day, but if someone dared to take the first step on this day, this only proves that the power of Valentine’s Day certainly cannot be underestimated.

Valentine’s Day gifts

There is probably no one in the world who does not like receiving gifts or unexpected presents. Every expression of affection is worth its weight in gold, and we appreciate every gesture that shows we are important to someone. It works the other way too—we like giving gifts to others, especially when we want to express our feelings. However, it is worth forgetting about standard and repetitive Valentine’s Day gifts and choosing something special, something unique, just as unique as the person for whom we plan to buy the gift. But what should you buy? Each of us is different, so before we rush into a shopping spree, it is worth knowing which gifts are considered unsuitable and thinking about what type of man the recipient is, in order to know which Valentine’s Day idea will work here.

Suitable and unsuitable gifts for him

A lot is said about Valentine’s Day gifts that women do not welcome. For example, women do not want to receive heart-shaped gadgets or mugs with a picture of their beloved, and certainly not cosmetics. What about men? It is easy to guess that unsuitable gifts will certainly also include cosmetics of any kind, items with teddy bears and hearts, stuffed toys, and other accessories or objects more commonly intended for women. Men are more practical; they are not interested in sweet gifts, and even less so in cosmetics—which they most often receive at Christmas anyway, making such a gift even less suitable.

Which gifts will be a hit? All those he simply likes, and which also show that they were not bought on impulse in the first shop at hand. Take, for example, the offer from the Wyjątkowy Prezent service. The suggestions from this service alone show that on Valentine’s Day it is worth choosing an unconventional gift that will primarily provide experiences. If it is also a gift for two for Valentine’s Day, allowing you to spend time with your loved one, the benefit is mutual. Such a gift will certainly be appreciated and, importantly, remembered for a long time.

Valentine’s Day gift for a boyfriend—the entertainment type

If your boyfriend is the type of person who appreciates entertainment in every form, he will certainly be happy with a package of experiences for two. It is a pass that allows you to choose any entertainment offering amazing experiences. There are as many as 60 attractions to choose from, including, for example:

  • escape room
  • a visit to a haunted house
  • interactive games
  • a ride in a tracked self-propelled howitzer
  • a self-defense lesson
  • wakeboarding
  • paintball, including laser paintball
  • go-karting
  • scuba diving.

The advantage of choosing such a package is that it remains valid for as long as 12 months, so you can decide together which day to set aside for entertainment and choose an attraction that will provide both of you with a substantial dose of adrenaline. There is nothing to prevent you from purchasing a pass for a separate, already selected activity—you can easily find individual attractions in every city.

Valentine’s Day gift for a boyfriend—the homebody type

A homebody is the type of person who does not particularly like going out and appreciates spending time together in the comfort of home. For such a person, a gift idea may simply involve gadgets or a physical present, but there is one piece of advice—you can prepare a Valentine’s Day gift for him at home. How? Buy individual sushi-making lessons or cooking lessons, for example in Italian cuisine—in that case, the chef-instructor comes to your home. You can also attend such a course beforehand and then surprise your beloved with sushi prepared by hand or homemade lasagne.

If, however, we manage to persuade the homebody to leave his fortress, we can choose calm entertainment such as pottery lessons, horse-riding lessons, a catamaran cruise on the Vistula, or wine tasting. All these activities are primarily linked by their calm nature; they are not extreme sports, so a quiet homebody will certainly appreciate this type of gift, especially since he will have his companion by his side the whole time.

Valentine’s Day gift for a boyfriend—the romantic type

Romance is immediately associated with dinner. But what if dinner takes place in the dark? It may seem excessive, but dinner in the dark wonderfully stimulates the senses. Above all, tasting food in such conditions provides unforgettable experiences and allows you to discover flavors anew. The chef prepares special dishes, so you can taste something previously unknown and rediscover dishes you already know.

Another romantic Valentine’s Day idea is a delightful massage, preferably a chocolate one, during which both partners are massaged at the same time to atmospheric music. Such an experience brings relief, relaxes, and also offers cosmetic benefits. Interestingly, some SPA salons also offer individual massage lessons under the supervision of an experienced masseur, so you can leave such a visit with a technique that can easily be repeated in the privacy of your own home.

These are just a handful of Valentine’s Day gift ideas for a boyfriend. Of course, there may be many more suggestions. However, all these gifts have one thing in common—it is worth investing in a gift that provides amazing experiences and allows you to celebrate Lovers’ Day together.
