On Saturday, BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec hosted Puma Pietrzykowice. Krzysztof Lechowski’s team defeated the visitors 2–1. The goals for the Bolesławiec side were scored by Jasiński and Juszczak. This was our team’s first victory in the ongoing season. The win is certainly encouraging, but the team is still playing poorly. The players appear tired. It looks as though they have been playing continuously since the previous season. Inaccurate passing and numerous turnovers are glaring problems. In addition, the team lost Paweł Rissmann (now at Chojnowianka Chojnów), Paweł Demczar (now at GKS Warta Bolesławiecka) and Grzegorz Nowak (now at Prochowiczanka Prochowice). Their places were taken by former BKS junior players. Will the juniors effectively replace the first-team regulars?
The poor performances and results in the matches played so far indicate that the first team will have to fight to stay in the league. It is not known whether the second team will also have to fight to remain in the regional league. BKS II drew Sunday’s match with Gryf Gryfów Śląski 0–0. Both teams have collected 4 points so far. Both have lost 3 times, drawn once and won once, leaving them in 14th place in the competition tables.
