"Ruby & Quentin" is a proposal for fans of action films combined with a generous dose of good humour. Featuring an excellent cast – Gerard Depardieu and Jean Reno – this crime comedy tells the story of the adventures of Ruby (Jean Reno) and Quentin (Gerard Depardieu). The former is a ruthless killer who ended up in prison after stealing a huge haul from a mafia boss; the latter is a harmless petty thief, arrested after robbing a currency exchange office instead of a bank. He cannot stay in any cell for long, because his openness and talkativeness drive successive fellow inmates into fits of uncontrollable rage. Finally, he ends up in Ruby's cell and immediately takes a liking to him – unfortunately, it is not reciprocated – treating him as his closest confidant and friend, which is, to put it mildly, a social misunderstanding. He even manages to organise a joint – and utterly crazy – escape from the prison psychiatric hospital, where they both end up in turn...

The second film we are proposing is a controversial work about the presidency of George W. Bush, described by many as a pamphlet. "Fahrenheit 9/11" divided both critics and audiences. Some are delighted by it, as demonstrated by its being awarded the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival; others consider it unconvincing propaganda rubbish. What is the truth? It is certainly worth seeing the film to form your own opinion.

Two double tickets to the films we are proposing will go to the two people who are the first to send our editorial office the correct answer to the following question:

Which categories of advertisements on the Boleslawiec.org website are paid?

To enter the competition, send your answer using the contact form on the Boleslawiec.org website. Each person receives a double ticket to one film. The prizes are funded by Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury.
