Michał Choina of Hetman Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski became Polish champion. Mateusz Mendak, representing Javenia Hańcza Suwałki, came third.
The following day, the Polish Cup in the P 15 category was held. Seventy players competed in Kacper’s age group. In the cup competition, the chess player from Bolesławiec took an impressive third place. On Wednesday, 30 July, the TOP player will compete in the Polish Championships in the P 30 category.
It is worth adding that only players with the highest rankings in Poland were allowed to enter the competition in Lublin. To compete for the title, a player needed at least 1,200 ranking points. Kacper Grela has 1,800 and is one of the favourites in Wednesday’s competition.
