The drowning probably occurred yesterday. The approximately 35-year-old resident of Bolesławiec was spending time with friends near Krępnica. In the evening, the group left the swimming area without their friend. The emergency services were notified on Sunday morning.
The man’s belongings were lying on the shore. His body was searched for by a team of firefighter-divers from Wrocław. The operation lasted approximately 20 minutes. The body was recovered after 11:00 a.m.
The cause of the drowning is not known at this time.
