The accident occurred in the afternoon in Wykroty on national road number four. For unknown reasons, the driver of the Iveco hit a truck and then crashed into the rear of a Ford Modeno. The Iveco driver and the Ford driver were injured. Both, suspected of having spinal injuries, were transported to a hospital in Bolesławiec.
The impact damaged the truck's fuel tank. A considerable amount of the hazardous substance spilled onto the road, and firefighters had to remove what had leaked. Traffic on national road number four was halted for several hours. The police organized detours.
