The representatives of I Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Bolesławiec won the Zone Competition of Upper-Secondary Schools in Beach Volleyball, held on 5 and 6 June in Jelenia Góra. The zone champions competed in the following lineup: Joanna Naglik, Martyna Ochocka and Kamila Duru. The girls qualified for the provincial competition, which will take place on 13 June in Wrocław. The team’s coach is Elżbieta Chodyra.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, 5 June, the County Championship competition of Lower-Secondary Schools in Beach Volleyball concluded at the Water and Sports Centre in Bolesławiec. In the girls’ category, the team from Gimnazjum nr 3, consisting of Dorota Medyńska, Dorota Burdyna and Dominika Mienculewicz, proved unbeatable. The county champions did not lose a single set. Representatives of I Prywatne Gimnazjum finished second, while the lower-secondary school students from Iwiny came third.
In the boys’ category, the representatives of Gimnazjum nr 2 won, competing in the following lineup: Eryk Pankowski, Jakub Czyżewski and Łukasz Krawiec. The team from Gimnazjum w Nowej Wsi took second place.
Both championship teams and the girls’ team from I Prywatne Gimnazjum qualified for the zone competition, which will be held on 9 and 10 June in Bolesławiec. The latter team consists of Magda Kozłowska, Patrycja Dopieralska and Karolina Damian.
The competition was organised by the Międzyszkolny Ośrodek Sportowy.
