The tragedy occurred at around 3:00 p.m. on Rajska Street. Soil and part of the foundation of the building where the man was working collapsed onto him. “As a result of the injuries he sustained, the man died at the scene,” Marek Śledziona from the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, told the Boleslawiec.org / IstotneInfromacje.pl portal.
This is not the first accident to occur in Bolesławiec during renovation work. In March this year, part of a wall collapsed onto the legs of a worker renovating a tenement building on Zgorzelecka Street. The man was taken to hospital.
