The author of the project submitted by the Construction Schools Complex, which won the jury’s recognition, is Waldemar Gnoiński, an IT teacher. The “Virtual School” project will make life easier for teachers, students and their parents. Teachers will be able to easily prepare assignments and maintain regular email contact with students and their parents. They will also be able to prepare electronic materials that will be available to students anywhere and at any time. Students will be able to contact teachers on an ongoing basis and use multimedia educational materials.

“Parents will be able to see their children’s grades online. They will know whether their child has missed classes, played truant or done their homework,” says Waldemar Gnoiński. In the near future, parents will receive SMS messages, for example informing them that their child has not arrived for class.

“The system enables the mutual exchange of information between teachers, students and parents. For example, assignments can be entered for students and the extent to which they have been completed can be checked,” adds Jacek Jurkiewicz, head of the Construction Schools Complex. The system has been operating for two months in class 2a of the Landscape Architecture Technical School. Most students are satisfied. They say that the monitoring contributes to improving both the standard of learning and safety at school.

Another institution from Bolesławiec was also recognized in the “School Without Violence” competition. Primary School No. 3 will also receive PLN 5,000.
