Employees of the Wrocław branch of the Meteorological Forecast Office of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management predict that a windstorm will pass over Lower Silesia on the night of February 22–23. The average wind speed may range from 30 to 45 km/h, with maximum gusts reaching as much as 70 to 80 km/h.
Expected effects of the windstorm include broken trees and damage to roofs and overhead power lines. The Voivodeship Crisis Management Center is monitoring the situation on an ongoing basis.
