The fifth Lower Silesian Councillors’ Indoor Football Championship was held on Sunday, 17 February, in Środa Śląska. The tournament was held under the honorary patronage of Marshal Andrzej Łoś, Chairperson of the Lower Silesian Regional Assembly Marek Łapiński, and Voivode Rafał Jurkowlaniec. Thirteen teams from Lower Silesia took part in the competition, along with the guest local-government partner of Środa County – Hajnówka County from Podlaskie Voivodeship.
The Bolesławiec County team performed very well. They scored beautiful goals and defended effectively. The Bolesławiec players defeated teams from Trzebnica, Środa Śląska, Dzierżoniów and Świdnica. In the final, the Bolesławiec County representatives met the Trzebnica team again, but this time, unfortunately, lost 1–3. The consolation goal for the Bolesławiec team was scored by goalkeeper Piotr Hodowany. A goalkeeper scoring a goal demonstrates the whole team’s great commitment to the game.
Our county team consisted of: Jan Kozak, Paweł Dul, Janusz Kozioł, Aleksander Wis, Grzegorz Górski, Franciszek Kisielewski and Piotr Hodowany. The team’s coach and, at the same time, a player is Zbigniew Skwarek.
