The event will take the form of a team-based sporting competition. Participants—amateur four-person teams made up of adult competitors—will assemble 1,500-piece puzzles. In addition to championship titles and trophies, the winners will receive prizes.
The competition, which will be held on February 23, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. in the GOKiS hall in Kruszyn, aims to promote puzzle-solving as an attractive way to spend free time and to develop skills such as patience, attentiveness, and teamwork. Teams representing institutions, companies, and private individuals may register.
Admission will be free for spectators and the public. What is more, because of the length of the event, a buffet will be open on site, offering hot meals and cold drinks.
GOKiS asks all teams interested in taking part in the marathon to register as soon as possible, as the number of places is limited. Participation may be registered:
- by telephone or fax: 075 732 14 77
- by email: gokis.boleslawiec@wp.pl or beata111124@wp.pl
- or in person: at the GOKiS office in Kruszyn, at 8 Główna Street, on all working days from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Acceptance of the registration will be confirmed by written acknowledgment from the organizer and the assignment of a team number. The registration must include the first and last names of the team members, their years of birth and towns of residence, and the team name.
The Boleslawiec.org portal will be the event’s media patron.
