The 24-minute “Portrait of Ewa” tells the story of teenage Ewa, whose seemingly normal life is changed by an event from the past and its later consequences. Ewa tries to put her life in order and arrange her relationships with her father and her boyfriend. Meanwhile, her friend paints Ewa’s portrait.
The film features, among others, Ewa Kozłowska, Marek Tabor and Kornel Filipowicz, known from Przemysław Filipowicz’s previous productions and Boleslawiec.org. The cast also includes Kacper Trafalski, Jagoda Siegień and Ewelina Pankowska. The cinematographer is Krzysztof Gwizdała, the music was composed by Mateusz Celmer, the film was edited by Przemysław Filipowicz, production management was handled by Katarzyna Mroczek, and the film was produced by the Boleslawiec.org portal.
The Bolesławiec premiere of the film will take place on 1 December at the Orzeł cinema during the 3rd OFF Cinema Festival in Bolesławiec. During the event, viewers will also be able to see Przemysław Filipowicz’s previous films: “A Friend” (recently awarded at the 8th National Amateur Film Festival in Bieruń) and “Mr. Chlebek”, which on the same day will compete in Warsaw for the European Independent Film Award in the documentary category.
