On Thursday, the first part of public consultations concerning the investment plans of the city of Bolesławiec for 2007–2013 began in the Council Chamber. Consultations with residents are necessary for the city to begin its investments. The meeting was led by employees of the Foundation for the Development of Local Democracy. Participants received pilot questionnaires in which they submitted their comments.

During the subsequent discussion, Bolesławiec residents mainly raised problems concerning their places of residence. They spoke, among other things, about the poor condition of the tenement houses on Daszyńskiego Street, the disastrous condition of the surface of Zabobrze Street, and the poor condition of access roads to Ceramiczna Street.

In November, questionnaires will be distributed to residents of the market square and its surroundings, as well as to selected social groups. People will be able to express their opinions on investments in them. An electronic version of the questionnaire will also be available, which we will certainly announce.

The purpose of the public consultations is to obtain the opinions of Bolesławiec residents on the city’s actions, which are to be carried out on the basis of two documents: the LPR (Local Revitalization Plan) and the PRL (Local Development Plan). Both documents will define the city’s investment activities and specify in detail the particular tasks, deadlines, methods of implementation, and sources of financing.
