For a week, BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec has had a new president. Jan Woch has replaced Damian Sawczak. The new president has ambitious plans. Together with vice-president Bartosz Kubica, he firmly states that the club’s most important goals are promotion of the first team to the third league and attracting as many fans as possible to matches. "We must think about the second league in order to reach the third. We must also do everything possible to ensure that as many people as possible attend matches," says the club’s new president, Jan Woch. Bartosz Kubica also makes no secret of his enthusiasm and willingness to act: "We intend to reinvigorate football in Bolesławiec so that every resident of the city feels like a co-owner of the club."

The BKS vice-president does not hide the fact that he is aware of the difficulties facing the club. "Organizationally and financially, we lag behind the league’s leading clubs. Our budget is one-tenth of what other clubs have at their disposal, so we are counting on various sources of funding. The budget of a club fighting for promotion to the third league should amount to 30,000–40,000 złoty per month," Kubica explains. Meanwhile, the captain of BKS’s first team, Tomasz Jasiński, insists that the team does not lack fighting spirit: "All the matches so far have shown that we are trying to play as well as possible. We leave our health on the pitch, and I think no one can deny us commitment or determination." The BKS captain also praises the atmosphere within the team, although—as he notes—"arguments sometimes happen"; overall, the entire team is a well-coordinated collective. Tomasz Jasiński assured that in Saturday’s match against Górnik Polkowice, the team would fight and strive for victory.

In the current BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec season, there are two senior teams. One plays in the fourth league, while the other plays in the fifth league (the district league). Two senior teams mean higher maintenance costs. "Without the help of businesses, the city’s involvement and the fans’ support, the club will not develop. We also want good relations both with the city and with the county," Bartosz Kubica explains. "We have to look for money in various ways; scarves, mugs and season tickets with players’ photos—all of this is meant to attract people," Jan Woch adds. The BKS board representatives are open to the operation of a supporters’ club. "It is important that supporting the team be conducted at an appropriate level. It would be fantastic if we managed to build a culture of supporting the team. The fans themselves should take the initiative in organizing cheering [funkcjonowania klubu kibica – dopisek redakcji] . Every constructive action will be considered positively," Bartosz Kubica assures.

The club authorities encourage young people to help in various ways. For example, one can get involved in putting up posters announcing matches and, in this way, receive a season ticket. The BKS president is open to all questions and suggestions concerning the club’s operation. However, he wants questions to be asked in a civilized manner. "If someone has a question and wants an answer, they should sign their name to the question, and then we will respond," Jan Woch assures. The new president of BKS Bobrzanie also has an idea for disciplining players who receive "stupid" yellow cards. The footballers with the highest number of "stupid" yellow cards are to walk around the stadium grounds dressed as the club mascot, a plush beaver named Bobrzanin. Jan Woch also addressed the recent poor performance of BKS’s junior teams. In the club president’s view, the juniors’ biggest problem is the poor attendance of young footballers. Krzysztof Kownacki will be responsible for training young people and children. The new BKS board member is to coordinate the training system for all age groups and be responsible for cooperation among the coaches.

Jan Woch – owner of the company "Automatyka." The new president is 40 years old, married and has two children. He not only supports football. He is one of the founders and players of the indoor football team "Automatyka." Before taking over as president of BKS Bobrzanie, Jan Woch financially supported the second team (BKS "Automatyka" Bobrzanie Bolesławiec).

Bartosz Kubica is 30 years old. He is a co-owner of the company "Dobry Doradca." He currently lives in Wrocław, but was born and spent 20 years in Bolesławiec. He played for BKS Bolesławiec for several years. As he describes himself, he is a football fanatic.
