The BKS Bolesławiec board issued a statement announcing the removal of Damian Sawczak and Dariusz Wojtowicz from their positions as president and vice-president of BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec. The reason for their removal was reportedly irresponsible behavior during the organization of the Ceramika Cup tournament, failure to perform their duties, and avoidance of settling the accounts for the August tournament.
The board’s statement says that Damian Sawczak and Dariusz Wojtowicz were also expelled from the club. The board appointed Jan Woch, owner of the company "Automatyka", a friend of the club and one of its most important sponsors, as president. Krzysztof Kownacki was also appointed to the board. Below, we present the full text of the statements by the BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec board and Dariusz Wojtowicz, who was removed from the board.
Statement of BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec
Due to irresponsible behavior during the organization of the Ceramika Cup Bolesławiec 2007 tournament and avoidance of settling the accounts for that tournament, as well as failure to carry out the duties undertaken, on 18 September 2007 the board unanimously dismissed Mr. Damian Sawczak and Dariusz Wojtowicz from the BKS Bobrzanie board and expelled them from membership in BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec.
At the meeting of the BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec board on 18 September 2007, the club board unanimously elected the then board member, Mr. Jan Woch, as club president. The current composition of the BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec club board is as follows:
- Jan Woch - Club President
- Bartosz Kubica - Club Vice-President
- Józef Pokładek
- Edward Spraski
- Henryk Szewc
- Janusz Baranowski
- Krzysztof Kownacki
- Leszek Markowski
The Boleslawiec.org portal contacted Dariusz Wojtowicz and asked him for comment on the information coming from the club.
Statement by Dariusz Wojtowicz
I declare that the BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec board did not help organize the Ceramika Cup tournament. The club structures currently in operation were built during the first two months of our joint activity. The tournament settlement—in writing—was handed over to representatives of the board within a period that made it possible to close the event comprehensively. Therefore, I consider the above-mentioned allegations to be defamatory. As a result of these allegations, we submitted our resignations ourselves immediately after the Ceramika Cup tournament ended.(MZ report)
