Bait containing the vaccine will be dropped from aircraft outside built-up areas. People are requested not to touch, pick up or destroy the baits that have been laid.

From 2 to 15 October 2007, the following regulations apply in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship:

  • a ban on hunting game with dogs
  • a ban on allowing dogs and cats to roam freely
  • an obligation to keep farm dogs tethered and cats indoors.

Every instance of human contact with the laid vaccine must be reported to the health service, while any instance of an animal coming into contact with the bait must be reported to the veterinary service.

People are asked to exercise particular caution during the vaccination campaign.
