The clergy and faithful of the Sanctuary of the Assumed Mother of the Church hosted the seventh parish festival. The festival took place on Saturday in Waryński Park. The altar was placed on the amphitheater stage. At 12:00, an outdoor Mass began. The Mass was celebrated by Senior Prelate Władysław Rączka and Dean Andrzej Jarosiewicz. The sermon was delivered by Rev. Tomasz Tytera of the Parish of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Bolesławiec.
After Mass, the festival entertainment began. The event was hosted by Bolesław Nowak and Sylwia Chruszcz. The organizers of Saturday’s festival prepared many attractions. There were artistic performances by children and young people, concerts, and competitions for children and adults. Food stalls encouraged visitors to buy military-style pea soup, grilled sausages, slices of bread with lard, and cakes. A raffle was also held, in which every purchased ticket won a prize. The money raised on Saturday will be used to renovate two side altars in the Sanctuary.
