On Saturday, BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec hosted Lechia Dzierżoniów at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street. In the opening minutes, both teams were testing each other. There was plenty of battling in the middle of the pitch. BKS created the first dangerous attack in the 12th minute. Marek Kumoś took the corner. Krzysztof Szymański failed to take advantage of the defenders’ uncertain intervention. His shot was too weak to surprise the visiting goalkeeper. Two minutes later, Mateusz Janczyszyn shot at the Lechia goal. The visitors’ goalkeeper managed to clear the ball for a corner only with great difficulty.
The following minutes passed with the Bolesławiec side visibly in control. Tomasz Jasiński (a shot off target) and Grzegorz Nowak (beaten by the defenders in the penalty area) had chances to score. In the 20th minute, the visitors began to make their presence felt. Piotr Tylka and Dawid Włodek shot wide of Marek Przykłota’s goal. In the 28th minute, Piotr Tylka produced a superb strike, and only an excellent save by Marek Przykłota prevented BKS from conceding. In the 36th minute, Chrystian Serkies shot at the Lechia goal, but the Bolesławiec forward’s effort was too weak. Four minutes later, Marek Kumoś managed to break into the visitors’ penalty area, but the visiting defenders took the ball from our player.
In the 50th minute, Krzysztof Pietrzykowski shot at the BKS goal, but Marek Przykłota was unbeatable that day. A minute later, Chrystian Serkies produced a fine effort. Unfortunately, the ball flew just over the crossbar. In the 53rd minute, following an attack down the right side of the pitch, Chrystian Serkies shot again. The visiting goalkeeper got a touch to the ball, which was heading beyond the byline. Łukasz Rudyk reached the ball, however, and sent it into the Lechia net with a confident shot. A minute later, the visiting player Arkadiusz Paszkowski had to leave the pitch after receiving a second yellow card. The Bolesławiec side had several more chances to score. First, following a Serkies–Szymański–Serkies move—and a shot by the latter—the visiting goalkeeper cleared the ball for a corner. Playing a man down, the visitors put everything on the line and continued to attack dangerously.
Toward the end of the match, the BKS players were lucky. Lesław Sobolewski’s shot hit the post. In the final minutes, Piotr Halkowicz failed to convert a one-on-one opportunity. With only the goalkeeper in front of him, the BKS player missed by a very narrow margin. BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec beat Lechia Dzierżoniów 1–0. The Bolesławiec side are second in the IV liga table. BKS lined up as follows: Marek Przykłota, Paweł Demczar, Józef Pietrzak, Grzegorz Nowak, Krzysztof Szymański (Damian Hebda), Mateusz Janczyszyn, Tomasz Jasiński (Radosław Szajwaj), Łukasz Rudyk (Piotr Halkowicz), Marek Kumoś, Chrystian Serkies, Paweł Rissmann (Marcin Ogórek).
