The event began after 3:00 p.m. at Opałkowa Chata. There, the parade participants changed clothes and covered themselves in clay. Then they set off into the city to take part, after 6:00 p.m., in the parade marking the opening of the Festival of Ceramics. Young and old took part. They made a huge impression on the Bolesławiec residents watching them. Only positive opinions could be heard.
The clay parade was organized for the first time. It was a success, and its originators, the members of the Via Sudetica group, want it to become as well-known in a few years as the Spanish bull runs. The event in Bolesławiec naturally refers to the tradition of Bolesławiec ceramics. TVN television showed a report on the parade this morning.
The event is intended to promote Bolesławiec around the world and to provide an opportunity for residents and visitors to have a good time. Clay on the body is, of course, not harmful to health; quite the opposite—it helps, as it is used every day in cosmetics. So, provided the parade participants did not get cold, they certainly became a little more beautiful.
Boleslawiec.org was the event's media patron.
