The Chief Veterinary Officer appeals to people who, while staying in the United Kingdom, particularly in Surrey, had contact with animals susceptible to infection (cattle, sheep, goats, pigs or other cloven-hoofed animals, such as deer, roe deer, fallow deer, llamas, camels, antelopes, etc.), that is, people who stayed or worked on farms keeping such animals or had contact with them in other circumstances, to take the following measures before coming into contact with animals of the aforementioned species in Poland:
- observe stricter hygiene requirements, including changing clothes, and clean (wash) clothing previously worn while in contact with animals and, where possible, disinfect it
- clean and disinfect footwear if it was previously used while in contact with animals
- when coming into contact with animals susceptible to infection in Poland, use clothing other than that worn in the United Kingdom.
