The BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec club, established two weeks ago, has a new president. The club’s board unanimously elected Damian Sawczak. Until recently, Damian Sawczak served as Vice-President of Miejski Klub Sportowy Bobrzanie Bolesłwiec. The newly elected president is 26 years old. He told Boleslawiec.org that he has been interested in football for a long time: "I have played football since I was a child, and I have also been an avid supporter of it for a long time."

A year and a half ago, he became Vice-President of MKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec. Asked about the BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec club’s plans for the upcoming season, Damian Sawczak replied: "The first team, coached by Marcin Ciliński, will compete for promotion to the III league. The second team is to remain in the regional league. We want to place a strong emphasis on training young footballers." The new president also wants to improve attendance at matches: "We want to do everything we can to ensure that many supporters come to the matches, and that entire families attend. We are open to talks with the supporters’ club."

Since the beginning of his involvement with Bobrzanie, Damian Sawczak has established himself as a good manager and organiser. Last year, he organised the Football Gala – Stars for Children, which was attended by leading players from Poland’s top division. Together with Bobrzanie, he managed to lead the senior team to promotion to the Regional League. The new President of BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec Club, together with Dariusz Wojtowicz, is the initiator and organiser of the international Ceramika Cup football tournament, which will take place in August during the Ceramics Festival. Damian Sawczak was also the manager of the Sumptuastic band, with which he continues to cooperate to this day.
