On Saturday, a youth football tournament for players born in 1994/1995 was held in Bautzen, Germany. Nine teams took part in the tournament, divided into two groups. They played a round-robin format. Matches lasted 12 minutes, and seven outfield players and a goalkeeper could be on the pitch at the same time.
The players of the new BKS-Bobrzanie club made a successful appearance in the tournament, ultimately finishing third. In their first match, our players drew 0:0 with FC Neugersdorf. They then defeated the hosts’ second team, Budissa Bautzen II, 1:0, with Mariusz Wakulski scoring. In the next match, the Bolesławiec team faced Rotation Oberseifersdorf and also won 1:0. Rafał Kośmider scored the goal. In their final group match, BKS-Bobrzanie defeated Dresdner Sport 2000 2:0. Mariusz Krzysik and Rafał Hanusiak scored. With 10 points, we finished first in the group, ahead of Neugersdorf with 7 points, Bautzen II with 5, Rotation with 2 and the Dresden team with 1.
In the semifinal, the Bolesławiec team faced Kenigswarthaer SV. Unfortunately, after an even match, our players lost 0:1, conceding a goal in the final minute. In the third-place match, BKS-Bobrzanie defeated Budissa Bautzen 3:0. The goals were scored by Mariusz Krzysik (2) and Mariusz Wakulski (1). Saturday’s tournament was won by FC Neugersdorf, who defeated Kenigswarthaer SV 3:0 in the final. Rafał Kośmider of BKS-Bobrzanie Bolesławiec was named the tournament’s best player.
BKS-Bobrzanie Bolesławiec played with: Mateusz Sałek, Mariusz Wakulski, Tomasz Mazur, Rafał Kośmider, Maciej Szewczyk, Mariusz Krzysik, Rafał Hanusiak, Radosław Powroźnik and Krystian Soroka. The team’s coach is Stanisław Zapiór, and its manager is Jerzy Stanik.
