On Saturday, the BKS Bolesławiec and Włókniarz Mirsk teams met at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street. The match began promisingly for the Bolesławiec side. In the 3rd minute, Potyszka shot from a tight angle, but the ball hit the side netting. In the 9th minute, Jasiński produced a fine shot from 16 metres. However, the Włókniarz goalkeeper managed to deflect the ball for a corner. BKS had the advantage, but nothing came of it.
In the 13th minute, Rudyk shot wide. The visitors threatened the BKS goal for the first time only in the 22nd minute. The Włókniarz player’s shot was saved by Sebastian Łokaj. In the 34th minute, Demczar took a free kick. The crossbar saved BKS’s opponents from conceding. Towards the end of the match, Sebastian Łokaj made a good intervention, saving a visitors’ free kick.
Unfortunately, the pace of the game dropped in the second half. The players of both teams were apparently tired by the heat. BKS continued to attack while Mirsk defended effectively. In the second half, the fans saw many inaccurate passes. The Bolesławiec players had problems building attacks (the absence of Marcin Ciliński was evident), as well as with passing accuracy and speed. The ball was repeatedly cleared in the style of a hockey “icing”. In the 51st minute, Kumoś shot wide from a free kick.
In the 60th minute, Markowski failed to take advantage of a good opportunity; he tried to beat the defenders but ultimately lost the ball in the penalty area. Towards the end of the match, the visitors had two good chances. The BKS goalkeeper came out on top in one of them, refusing to be beaten in a one-on-one situation. In the other, the Mirsk player missed. After a poor and boring match, BKS drew 0:0 with Włókniarz Mirsk.
BKS played with: Sebastian Łokaj (goalkeeper), Krzysztof Szymański (Tomasz Krzywonos), Marek Kumoś, Józef Pietrzak, Paweł Demczar, Łukasz Rudyk, Marcin Szaja, Tomasz Jasiński (Mirosław Markowski), Marcin Potyszka, Robert Banaszek, Damian Hebda (Sebastian Jaśkiewicz). Yellow cards were shown to Robert Banaszek and Łukasz Rudyk. The match was officiated by Dariusz Borodziuk, Klemens Gołuch and Artur Widła from the Referees’ Department in Wałbrzych.
