I was astonished to read the statement by District Governor Dariusz Kwaśniewski, published in the local media on October 11, 2016, concerning me. In my opinion, the claims it contains are not only untrue, but above all hurtful. They deny not only my achievements, but those of the entire District Board and coalition. However, I realize that the statement was written by the District Governor under great stress, therefore—as a Christian—I forgive.
I wish to remind Dariusz Kwaśniewski, as well as all district residents, that over the past two years the District Governor and I have held many meetings together, resulting, among other things, in the construction or renovation of many kilometers of roads and sidewalks, and in obtaining European funds for the development of our schools and the development of Bolesławiec District. I have always tried to do what is expected of me, and I do not intend to change that. I wish the District Governor a speedy recovery. I also invite him to discuss accelerating the development of our district.
As head of the district branch of the Polish People's Party, following the example of Wincenty Witos, I want us to carry out a thorough transformation of Bolesławiec District with our own hands, in keeping with the spirit of the times—for the benefit of its residents and regardless of who belongs to which coalition.
Yours sincerely,
Marian Haniszewski
Deputy District Governor of Bolesławiec
