In Saturday’s match in Brzeźnik, supporters saw three goals. In the 10th minute, Paweł Rissmann opened the scoring. It might have seemed that further goals for BKS were only a matter of time and that the entire match would end in a big away victory. However, that did not happen. The hosts defended and waited for a mistake by the visitors and an opportunity to counterattack. BKS, meanwhile, controlled the game, kept the hosts in their own half and exchanged passes on the uneven pitch... This did not translate into goals, though. The visitors had several shots on target, but each time the home goalkeeper was on hand.
In the 50th minute, the hosts’ tactics produced the desired result. After a mistake by BKS players, Szymon Rejman struck from 30 metres, lobbed the advancing Dawid Kizyma and Brzeźnik began to sense a shock result. BKS’s subsequent play could be described as banging its head against a brick wall. Only the changes and the introductions of coach Tomasz Fulczyński and Łukasz Graczyk changed the result of the match.
In the 78th minute, the referee awarded a penalty for a foul on the playing coach. The hosts did not agree with the decision, but their protests achieved little. Adrian Popek confidently converted the penalty. In the final moments, BKS could have extended its lead to 3–1. Łukasz Graczyk was fouled in the hosts’ penalty area. However, the fouled player himself failed to convert the penalty. BKS defeated local side LZS in Brzeźnik 2–1 (1–0). The hosts finished the match with nine players. The reason was cards for unsporting conduct.
