The findings made in the case indicate that Marek L. entered the apartment of his partner Małgorzata R., located on Cieplicka Street in Jelenia Góra, during the night of 6–7 September and struck her several times with an axe around the head and upper body and on her arms. He then attacked his daughter Aleksandra L., striking her at least twice with the same axe, in the head and back.
As a result of her injuries, Małgorzata R. died, while his daughter suffered bodily injuries that impaired the functioning of her body for more than 7 days. It was also established that from April until 7 September, Marek L., under the influence of alcohol, started rows during which he insulted his partner and his own daughter and threatened to take their lives.
Marek L. has already been charged. Questioned as a suspect, he admitted committing the act of which he was accused and gave an explanation. The district prosecutor will submit a request to the court for his temporary detention. The killer could face life imprisonment.
