We have very good news for BKS supporters and fans. After temporary difficulties, the senior team has been revived. Last season, for financial reasons, the club decided to withdraw the team from the fourth-tier league. A difficult period began for the club. The previous squad fell apart. For more than half a year, BKS disappeared from senior competitions. Fortunately, a handful of positive-minded enthusiasts remained—people for whom BKS means more than an ordinary football club.
The determination, effort and dedication of BKS vice-president Michał Lis (owner of Auto-Fox, transport and forwarding), coaches Tomasz Jasiński, Maciej Sawicki, Tomasz Fulczyński, Mariusz Rutkowski, as well as Leszek Markowski, began a new chapter in the history of the club from Spółdzielcza Street in Bolesławiec.
It also turned out that, in difficult times, the club’s former youth players—footballers from Bolesławiec and Bolesławiec County—came to its aid. Most of them had already played for BKS. They returned and decided, selflessly, to give something back to the club, the city and the supporters. A new BKS senior team was formed and successfully entered the A-class competition. Current BKS coach Tomasz Fulczyński spoke about this in an interview with the Istotne.pl portal.
There have also been changes to the club board. Mirosław Lik is no longer the club president. Vice-president Michał Lis is performing the president’s duties. Józef Pokładek, a person known in local-government circles and former chairman of the Bolesławiec City Council, has joined the board. The club board also includes Maciej Sawicki, Mieczysław Gałkiewicz and Bolesław Wilkosz.
