The aim of the competition is to encourage as many Bolesławiec residents as possible to beautify their windows, balconies or gardens with floral arrangements. To enter, an application form must be submitted to the secretariat of the City Office or the Customer Service Office by May 20. Entries may be submitted in the following categories: the most beautifully flower-decorated balcony or windows, a flower garden at either a single-family or multi-family residential property, and a flower garden at a commercial or service facility. The first inspection of the submitted places will take place in the second half of May, and the final one in August. The competition is scheduled to be decided in October. The jury will also evaluate beautifully flower-decorated places that have not been submitted.
The organizers have provided attractive prizes. First-place winners will receive a voucher worth PLN 650, second-place winners PLN 425, and third-place winners PLN 300. The vouchers can be redeemed at a garden store. Each participant will receive a disc containing photographs from the competition and a certificate. Application forms can be collected from the secretariat of the City Office and the Customer Service Office, or downloaded from the City Office website. The competition is organized by the Bolesławiec Enthusiasts’ Association and the mayor of the city.
