On Saturday, 27 August, IV-league side Warta Bolesławiecka hosted AKS Strzegom. The match was played in oppressive heat. The temperature exceeded 30 degrees in the shade. In the 20th minute, following a shot by Sudoła, the visitors took the lead. Warta responded with inaccurate shots by Puzio and Biały.
After the break, the visitors added further goals. It turned out that counterattacks were an effective weapon against the hosts. In the 57th minute, the visitors made perfect use of this aspect of the game. Uszczyk got on the scoresheet, making it 2–0 to AKS. In the 79th minute, also following a counterattack, Wasilewski extended the lead to 3–0. The same player set the final score at 4–0 in the 90th minute.
After three rounds of matches in the IV league, GKS Warta have one point and sit 14th in the table. Next Saturday (3 September), Krzysztof Kaliciak’s team will host Stal Chocianów. The match is scheduled to start at 17:00.
