On Sunday (21 August), BKS’s revived senior team played its first matchday in the Jelenia Góra A-class competition. The Bolesławiec side’s opponents were LKS Kraśnik Dolny. The match began 30 minutes late. This was due to heavy rainfall throughout the night and water accumulated in front of one of the goals. The hosts, under the supervision of the referees, partially dealt with the problem. They did so effectively enough for the referees to approve the pitch for play and for the match to go ahead.
Both teams found it difficult to play on the waterlogged pitch in Kraśnik. Early in the match, the hosts could have taken the lead, but BKS goalkeeper Dawid Kizyma’s excellent and brave intervention prevented a goal. The subsequent stages of the game belonged to the visitors. In the 6th minute, Adrian Popek scored for BKS. BKS pressed and had a clear advantage, but lacked an effective finish. In the 34th minute, after a shot by Oskar Pochwała, Edward Iwanowski directed the ball into his own goal. Just before half-time, Łukasz Graczyk made it 3–0.
The pattern of play did not change after the break. BKS dominated and attacked, while the hosts tried to launch counterattacks but were unable to threaten the visitors’ goal. In the 47th minute, Oskar Pochwała increased the lead to 4–0. Moments later, the same player added another goal. In the 60th and 75th minutes, two more goals were scored by the Bolesławiec side. Both were scored by Dawid Kizyma, who converted two penalties flawlessly. Łukasz Graczyk set the final score in the 84th minute. BKS defeated the local LKS 8–0 (3–0) in Kraśnik. After the first matchday, the Bolesławiec side top the competition table. Next Saturday (27 August), the Bolesławiec side will host LZS Niwnice. Kick-off is at 18:00.
