Our heroine Barbara is 62 years old and comes from Bolesławiec; she attends the University of the Third Age. She took part in the Makeovers to take care of herself, rejuvenate a little and benefit from a professional makeup artist’s services. Barbara believes that makeovers are not only for young girls; for mature women, they are also a wonderful experience. See whether she liked her transformation.
Barbara has an enviable figure; her body type is an hourglass. Marilyn Monroe had this feminine figure, as do Sophia Loren and singer Beyoncé. Her shoulders and hips are a similar width, her waist is clearly defined, and her bust is full. With this body shape, all you need to do is emphasize your feminine curves.
Hairdresser Aneta Jakieła from the hair studio at 1/2 Piaskowa Street suggested a simple, easy-to-style haircut for Barbara. She shortened the hair at the sides so it would not add volume to the face and lightened its color to brighten the face.
Barbara was professionally made up for the first time by Sławomira Smółka, a Mary Kay brand ambassador. The beautician used an active, nourishing foundation with UV protection to moisturize the skin. Sławomira Smółka encourages mature women to wear makeup and use colorful cosmetics more often.
Barbara’s styling
We chose the styling for our participant at the Joy Fashion salon (level -1 of Bolesławiec City Center Gallery) and the shoes at the CCC salon (ground floor of Bolesławiec City Center Gallery). Barbara is wearing a dress that perfectly emphasizes her waist. The V-shaped neckline beautifully showcases her bust. Jewelry and accessories should be understated: you should not wear overly large earrings, heavy bracelets or necklaces. The same applies to handbags; it is better to choose a smaller one. You can, however, go wild with colors. We also recommend open-toe shoes with the fringes that are fashionable this season.
