On Tuesday, July 19, the first training session of BKS’s senior team, returning to competitive play, took place at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street in Bolesławiec. Fifteen players attended the training session. Most of them are very familiar to Bolesławiec fans. They are youth graduates or players who have already played for BKS. It can be said that some of them have returned home.
Among others, Józek Pietrzak, Dawid Kizyma, Łukasz Graczyk, Radosław Karpiak, Oliwier Gasiak, Maciej Zielonka, Adrian Popek, Piotr Juszczak and Sławomir Dul appeared on the pitch at the municipal stadium in Bolesławiec. Several completely new players also arrived. We will announce the full and final BKS senior team squad in August. BKS plans to play several friendly matches in the near future. Next Sunday, July 24, the Bolesławiec side will face KS Stare Jaroszowice. The friendly match will begin at 11:00, as a courtesy, on the KS Kolonia Bolesławiec pitch (“Rowek”) on Topolowa Street in Bolesławiec. The match was originally supposed to take place at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street, but grass has been planted in front of the goals and the match cannot be played there for now. The OWS facility on Spacerowa Street is also occupied. Rugby competitions as part of the Youth Olympics in Summer Sports are taking place there. BKS’s next friendly opponents are to be Chojnowianka Chojnów and Czarni Lwówek Śląski. Tomasz Fulczyński’s team will not participate in the Polish Cup competition. BKS will begin its Class A campaign in mid-August.
Drużna seniorów BKS po najbliższym sezonie:
Coach Tomasz Fulczyński and Mariusz Rutkowski, who is helping him, face a difficult task: building a completely new team, training the players and helping them develop teamwork. It is worth appreciating that both of them have taken this on. The players who attended the training session also deserve respect—for wanting to play and help. Finally, thanks are due to Michał Lis, Maciek Sawicki, Tomek Jasiński, Henryk Kusojć, Piotr Bieńkowski and everyone else who helps the club but has not been named. It is mainly thanks to these people that senior football at BKS still exists.
