Before the screening, the director of both films, Przemysław Filipowicz, introduced the actors and collaborators: Ewa Kozłowska, Marek Tabor, Jacek Krzywdziński, Mateusz Celmer, Katarzyna Mroczek and Krzysztof Gwizdała. He also informed the audience that on Wednesday “Przyjaciel” won first prize at the “Wrzask Młodych” festival of independent cinema held in Bielsko-Biała, while “Pan Chlebek” received the audience award.
The audience gathered at Orzeł watched three films in total. The first was a very short spot referring to “Tu też może być Londyn”, a film produced by Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury and the Boleslawiec.org portal. The second, “Przyjaciel”, is a six-minute, unconventional story about an alleged betrayal and a rather unusual friendship. Finally, “Pan Chlebek” is the young filmmaker’s first documentary, about Piotr Sudół, who lives in Wartowice and collects dry bread, devoting his entire life to gathering this “gift from God”. The 23-minute documentary was received with a veritable ovation. In addition to the editing, the music composed by Mateusz Celmer also deserved attention.
The producer of “Przyjaciel” was the Boleslawiec.org portal. The website has long supported young creators, for example by lending equipment necessary for film production or offering editing and sound design services.
