The incident occurred on Tuesday (12 July) at the intersection near the police station. After 6:00 p.m., the driver of an Audi traveling along Zygmunta Augusta Street stopped before the crosswalk to let a female pedestrian pass. Another car, probably driven by a woman, collided with his vehicle. She did not stop and fled the scene of the accident.
The injured person is the driver of the car that stopped before the crossing. He probably suffered a minor injury and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The police are asking witnesses to help identify the person driving the car that, after rear-ending the Audi, drove away from the scene. Information can be provided by phone at 600 266 990.
