As we learned at the Bolesławiec County Headquarters of the State Fire Service, this year's holidays passed relatively peacefully. One reason for this is that the practice of burning grass is becoming increasingly rare in our county. According to firefighters, this is related both to the weather and to farmers' awareness, as they are fully aware that they may lose their EU subsidies.

Only Easter Monday kept Bolesławiec firefighters fully occupied. They intervened as many as three times. Another accident occurred on Road No. 4. In the evening, the driver of a Volkswagen Passat towing a trailer, while overtaking, collided with a Volkswagen Golf. Two people were injured. On Kościuszki Street, firefighters put out a fire at an unused pigsty. It was not possible to establish who owned the building. The fire service also intervened effectively in an apartment on Cieszkowskiego Street, where the contents of a built-in overhead cupboard caught fire.
