The Export Eagles are a nationwide series of events held in several cities across the country. Their aim is to promote exports and related topics, as well as to identify and honor regional export leaders. This year, two statuettes in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship will go to Bolesławiec.

Zakłady Ceramiczne successfully promoted its export products in February this year at the Ambiente International Trade Fair in Frankfurt am Main. At the fair, the company presented proposals for combining individual shapes into tea and coffee, breakfast, and dinnerware sets. The aim was to inspire customers to create individual collections.

The design proposals were enthusiastically received by the market. The fair also provided an opportunity to hold a series of talks with both existing and new customers, predominantly from the USA, Korea, and Japan. During the meetings, interesting contacts were established with buyers from other markets, as the fashion for Bolesławiec ceramics continues and demand for tableware in traditional and modern decorations grows year by year.

ZC “Bolesławiec” exports not only to European countries such as Germany, France, Austria, Finland, Slovakia, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, but also to the United States, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Australia. Bolesławiec ceramics are increasingly associated worldwide with Poland. The developing designs in terms of shapes and decorations, the handcrafted production of the tableware, and its painting with increasingly complex and labor-intensive embellishments are all highly valued.

2016 Export Eagles and Export Personality 2016

At a conference held in Wrocław on May 12, 2016, the award in the “Export Product” category was accepted by the president of Z.C. “Bolesławiec,” Karol Stasik, while the award in the “Export Personality” category was accepted by designer Janina Bany-Kozłowska, a ceramic artist who received the silver “Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture” in 2015.

The prestigious distinction, highlighting the importance of the designer’s work for Poland and the country’s position in the world, was presented to Janina Bany-Kozłowska during an official ceremony in Bolesławiec. During her career, the artist and chief designer of Z.C. “Bolesławiec” created more than 1,500 designs and received numerous awards, medals, and distinctions. Her ceramic sculptures and tableware have been and continue to be exhibited in Poland, Europe, and the United States of America.

The “Regional Export Eagles” competition is part of the Export Development Program. The program is an initiative of Bank Zachodni WBK and Rzeczpospolita, carried out together with substantive partners. Its aim is to support Polish exporters in conducting international business.
