In April, the two largest taxi companies in Bolesławiec merged. Both used radio communication to organize their work and had competed with each other for many years. Rising costs and the declining number of taxis led the drivers to join forces. Since Friday, they have been operating under a single number: 19 669.
The prices have not changed. The fare for entering a taxi and the first kilometer is PLN 7. Each subsequent kilometer costs PLN 3, with the taximeter charging in one-zloty increments (approximately every 333 meters). On Sundays, public holidays and at night (from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.), entering the taxi and the first kilometer cost PLN 7.50, while each subsequent kilometer costs PLN 4.50.
The new taxi company has 46 drivers.
