Our reader, who heard about a fundraising collection in one of the churches, asks whether there is perhaps a committee of people opposed to placing the plaque on the defensive walls, because she would gladly sign such a list. Another of our readers believes that the victims were not from Bolesławiec and that she has had enough of commemorating this particular aviation disaster everywhere.
The initiator of the plaque’s creation is councillor Eugeniusz Jabłoński. The plaque is to be made of red granite and measure 180 x 260 cm. The Honorary Patronage of the Committee for the Construction of the Plaque consists of Honorary Citizens of the City: Janina Bany-Kozłowska, Fr. Edward Bober, Jan Filipek, Zbigniew Razik and Ryszard Tomczyk.
