It was not easy from the very beginning. Almost the entire first set was a point-for-point battle. Fortunately, the closing stages of the set belonged to the players coached by Marcin Sobczyszyn (we won the set 25–20). The second set followed a similar pattern; despite the visitors’ resistance, it also went to the “Electrics” (25–21). It seemed that the third set would unfold in the same way and that BTS Elektros would once again claim three points. Unfortunately, in the closing stages, the Kudowa players rallied and won the set after extra points (27–25).
After winning the set, the visitors clearly came back to life. The fourth set was dominated by Opal, who crushed the “Electrics” 25–16. But our team was superior again in the tie-break, winning 15–13 and the match 3–2 (25–20, 25–21, 25–27, 16–25, 15–13).
Thanks to this victory, BTS Elektros Bolesławiec moved up to second place in the table. It is worth noting that finishing second gives the team the right to participate in playoffs for promotion to the second league.
