As early as the end of September, the Lower Silesian Voivode is expected to apply to the Ministry of the Economy for the funds to be transferred to the Lower Silesian Voivodeship for the scholarship payment programme.

However, if all the formalities are completed, immediately after 10 October the Marshal’s Office will announce a competition for projects to distribute the funds, and the money will be made available at the beginning of November.

“As you can see, apart from urging and pleading for effective action, the counties can do little for now. Our county has prepared all the necessary documents,” Dariusz Kwaśniewski, head of the Education Department of the Bolesławiec County Office, assures readers of Boleslawiec.org.

The funds to be allocated are indeed small. The question arises: why raise expectations? Unfortunately, this is a rhetorical question, as no one wants to answer it. Lower Silesia, which is home to nearly 16,000 students, will receive approximately 550 scholarships, each worth a maximum of 300 zlotys.

“The Bolesławiec County will receive approximately 10 scholarships, based on the proportions,” says Dariusz Kwaśniewski.

Officials ask people to approach the revelations presented by the national media, particularly television programmes, with caution. In case of any doubts, you can call the Education Department of the Bolesławiec County Office at: 735 18 77, 735 14 15 and 735 18 79.
