The BKS Bobrzanie board has decided to withdraw its senior team from the Lower Silesian fourth-tier competition. The reason for this decision is the lack of sufficient financial resources to operate a team at this level of competition. We wrote about the club’s financial situation in Wednesday’s report.
The withdrawal of the senior team means that, starting next football season (autumn 2016), BKS’s oldest section will begin competing at the A-class level, with a new squad and coach.
The club board says it will issue a statement explaining the reasons for withdrawing the senior team from the competition. We will report on BKS’s further activities on an ongoing basis in the pages of the Istotne.pl service.
Winter break with BKS
Apart from the decision to withdraw the senior team, BKS is operating normally. The club continues, and will continue, to train children and young people. BKS is currently inviting children to a football winter break program. Depending on the weather, activities for children aged 6 to 13 will take place either in the sports hall at II LO on Dolne Młyny Street or at the orlik pitch there.
