On Monday, January 25, a ceremony presenting promises of grants from the city budget to sports clubs and non-governmental organizations was held at the “Orzeł” Cultural Integration Center.
During the ceremony, the president said that our city could use a sports hall with seating for 2,000 spectators. He added that it could be built on the site of the PKS bus station. In that case, the hall could be used, for example, by students from the three schools located near the bus station: the School Complex of Commerce and Services, the School Complex of Mechanics, and the District Complex of Schools and Special-Education Institutions. What is more, concerts by major stars could be held there.
Piotr Roman stressed, however, that all this depends on whether the Municipal Commune succeeds in buying the PKS bus station (we wrote at the beginning of January that the municipal authorities had such plans in the article: Will the City of Bolesławiec buy the PKS bus station and eliminate the so-called Sajgon?).
