Snowfall since yesterday has significantly hindered traffic on roads in Bolesławiec. It is slippery practically on all roads in the city. During the day, truck drivers had trouble crossing the intersection near the Shell petrol station. In the afternoon and evening, traffic jams formed on Tysiąclecia Avenue (from the intersection by the Shell petrol station all the way to the Orlen petrol station).
An even longer traffic jam was on the ring road. The line of cars began near the roundabout (from the Kruszyn side) and ended at the exit from the city toward Zgorzelec. The traffic jams were caused by slipping trucks. Although snowploughs and gritters were operating on the roads, the constantly falling snow meant that the roadways remained slippery. Heavy snowfall is expected to end tonight.
