The event will take the form of a team-based sports competition. Participants—amateur teams of four made up of adult competitors (attention! the organizers allow one person under the age of 18, over 14, to participate in a team, provided they take part together with one of their parents)—will assemble 1,500-piece jigsaw puzzles. In addition to championship titles and trophies, the winners will receive prizes.
The aim of the competition, which will take place on February 27, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. in the conference room of Gminny Ośrodek Kultury i Sportu in Kruszyn, in Kruszyn (1B Kasztanowa Street), is to popularize jigsaw puzzling as an attractive way to spend free time and to develop skills such as patience, perceptiveness, and teamwork. Teams representing institutions, companies, and private individuals may register.
