The only athlete defending the honor of Bolesławiec swimming was the current Polish triathlon champion Klaudia Petters. Klaudia performed brilliantly, winning four medals in four events:

  • gold in the 200 m butterfly
  • silver in the 800 m freestyle
  • bronze in the 200 m and 400 m freestyle.

“The medals are, of course, pleasing, but I am most satisfied that despite the lack of a swimming club in Bolesławiec, which forces me to train on my own, I was able to improve my personal bests by 20 seconds in the 800 m and by almost 10 seconds in the 400 m. The time I achieved in the 800 m freestyle—9.37.63—places me among the very best athletes competing in triathlon, and considering that I am currently in a preparation period for the spring competitions, it fills me with great optimism ahead of the coming season,” Klaudia said.
