For the youngest—and perhaps for some of the slightly older ones too—two camels will certainly be an attraction, and visitors will be able to ride them. This gift for the Star of Daniel Puzdrakiewicz has been arranged for us.

Twenty-nine Santas on motorcycles will ride into Bolesławiec’s Market Square. Everyone interested will also receive a lantern as a gift, allowing them to “carry” the light from Bethlehem home.

A nativity scene with live animals will once again appear in Bolesławiec’s Market Square. It is hugely popular with both children and adults. The nativity scene can be admired for two days, on 17 and 18 December. During this time, the Fair of Rural Women’s Circles will take place, offering delicious traditional Christmas dishes, tasty cakes and beautiful Christmas decorations.

2:00 p.m.

The Christmas gathering on 17 December in the Market Square will begin with the Parade of Santa’s Helpers, which will proceed from Piłsudski Square to the Market Square. Children from Bolesławiec’s preschools will take part in the colorful procession. Santa’s young helpers will extend their greetings to everyone present and perform an artistic program. Santa Claus himself will then arrive in the Market Square on a sleigh; his arrival will conclude the “Tasty Gingerbread Cookies” performance by the Grupa Żywy Teatr.

3:00 p.m.

The Christmas Concert will feature the Bolesławiec Municipal Brass Band, Kapela Herbutów, the Association of Reemigrants from Bosnia and Their Descendants and Friends, and the BOK-MCC Vocal Workshop. On this day, Santa will read the most beautiful fairy tales as part of the All of Poland Reads to Children campaign, and an exhibition of Competition Christmas Nativity Scenes will be presented, including works made by children and young people from Bolesławiec schools and preschools.

5:00 p.m.

As is traditional, the event will include a Christmas meeting between residents and the Mayor of the City. It will be a time to exchange good wishes and share the Christmas wafer. Scouts will pass on the Bethlehem Light, and the Holy Family will arrive in the Market Square. The competition for the most beautiful Christmas Nativity Scene, held under the patronage of the Mayor of the City, will be decided. There will also be a Community Christmas Eve Supper for residents—we invite everyone to enjoy hot borscht and pierogi, as well as other traditional dishes prepared by Bolesławiec companies and institutions.
