The wind tore off several roofs in Lubków, in the Milików settlement, and from the school in Czerna. In Bolesławiec itself, trees fell on several cars, including on Juliusz Słowacki Street. In the city center, on Sądowa Street, the wind uprooted a tree. Part of the tree fell onto a lawn on Zgorzelecka Street, near the swimming pool.
The wind also toppled two trees next to the hospital building. During the night, patients were evacuated from the pediatric ward; fortunately, the trees did not damage the building. Drivers faced enormous difficulties. Fallen trees blocked roads toward Zielona Góra and Osiecznica. There were also disruptions on the motorway.
Meteorologists forecast that the wind will no longer be so strong tonight.
